Apr 21, 2015  Tuxera's version eliminates the need for the separate MacFUSE installation, and is faster at accessing NTFS drives. Edit: Checking Tuxera's site, it looks like they've fixed the issue with the newer Macs which will only boot 64 bit. Dec 24, 2018  If this free solution does not work for you there are always some paid apps to do the job, one that I have used previously is Tuxera NTFS for Mac which offers a 15 day try before you buy offer, works great, also there is Microsoft NTFS for Mac by Paragon, this is also a try before you buy 15 day usage, I haven’t personally tried this one. TUFS is Tuxera’s customized fork of MacFUSE, used in Tuxera NTFS for Mac. Like its parent project, MacFUSE, it is published as open source for reference. It is however customized to work seamlessly together with the driver component in Tuxera NTFS for Mac and not a general-purpose solution.

Oct 22, 2018  Now when my mac is asleep, I see the power button next to it in the teamviewer console, but pressing it, doesnt wake my mac. Whats weird, is that I used to have a Mac Mini (up until last week), and It used to go to sleep and I dont recall having to jump through any of these hoops to make it available in TeamViewer. Mac going to sleep teamviewer without. I was having the same problem. I found a program called InsomniaX for Macbook, installed it, and it works. The lid can be closed without the Mac going to sleep and TeamViewer does not have it offline anymore. Hope this helps. (In fact, I am connected to it right now via TV with the lid closed as I post this. May 18, 2018  I have no issue connecting to a mac that is 'awake' but if the mac's screen goes black or the user is logged off, I cannot connect to the mac. It works fine connecting to a Windows 10 computer. It appears the mac will not accept an incoming connection request if the mac is asleep or a user is not lo.

Uninstall Problem
Hey guys, I having some problems removing Tuxera from my Mac. I used the uninstaller from the preferences pane for macfuse and now whenever I start up my mac I get this error:
Tuxera NTFS could not mount /dev/disk0s3 at /Volumes/BOOTCAMP because the following problem occurred:
dyld: Library not loaded: /usr/local/lib/libfuse.2.dylib
Referenced from: /System/Library/Filesystems/fusefs_txantfs.fs/support/tuxera_ntfs
Reason: image not found
I tried using many of the uninstallation scripts such as:
sudo rm -r /Library/PreferencePanes/NTFS-3G.prefPane
sudo rm -r /System/Library/Filesystems/ntfs-3g.fs
sudo rm /sbin/mount_ntfs-3g /sbin/newfs_ntfs-3g
sudo rm /usr/local/bin/fuse_wait /usr/local/bin/ntfs-3g /usr/local/bin/ntfs-3g.probe /usr/local/bin/ntfs-3g_daemon /usr/local/bin/ntfscat /usr/local/bin/ntfscluster /usr/local/bin/ntfscmp /usr/local/bin/ntfsfix /usr/local/bin/ntfsinfo /usr/local/bin/ntfsls
sudo rm -r /usr/local/include/ntfs /usr/local/include/ntfs-3g
sudo rm /usr/local/lib/libntfs.* /usr/local/lib/libntfs-3g.* /usr/local/pkgconfig/libntfs-3g.pc
sudo rm /usr/local/sbin/mkntfs /usr/local/sbin/ntfsclone /usr/local/sbin/ntfscp /usr/local/sbin/ntfslabel /usr/local/sbin/ntfsresize /usr/local/sbin/ntfsundelete
sudo rm -r /usr/local/share/doc/ntfs-3g /usr/local/share/doc/ntfsprogs
sudo rm /usr/local/share/man/man8/libntfs-gnomevfs.8 /usr/local/share/man/man8/mkfs.ntfs.8 /usr/local/share/man/man8/mkntfs.8 /usr/local/share/man/man8/mount.ntfs-3g.8 /usr/local/share/man/man8/ntfs-3g.8 /usr/local/share/man/man8/ntfs-3g.probe.8 /usr/local/share/man/man8/ntfscat.8 /usr/local/share/man/man8/ntfsclone.8 /usr/local/share/man/man8/ntfscluster.8 /usr/local/share/man/man8/ntfscmp.8 /usr/local/share/man/man8/ntfscp.8 /usr/local/share/man/man8/ntfsfix.8 /usr/local/share/man/man8/ntfsinfo.8 /usr/local/share/man/man8/ntfslabel.8 /usr/local/share/man/man8/ntfsls.8 /usr/local/share/man/man8/ntfsmount.8 /usr/local/share/man/man8/ntfsprogs.8 /usr/local/share/man/man8/ntfsresize.8 /usr/local/share/man/man8/ntfsundelete.8

I just get a missing file/directory error.
Can anyone help? I just dont want to see that error message at every startup on my new mac

Re: Uninstall Problem
Hi,
The cleanup commands that you referenced were intended for NTFS-3G, so they are no good on Tuxera NTFS for Mac.
Tuxera NTFS for Mac is more self contained so you only need to type the following to clean up any remnants of the software:
sudo rm -rf /System/Library/Filesystems/fusefs_txantfs.fs '/Library/PreferencePanes/Tuxera NTFS.prefPane' /sbin/mount_fusefs_txantfs /sbin/newfs_fusefs_txantfs /Library/Receipts/TuxeraNTFS.pkg /var/db/receipts/com.tuxera.pkg.Tuxera_NTFS.*

If you also want to remove the preferences file, then type:
sudo rm -f /Library/Preferences/com.tuxera.NTFS.plist

Did you get any error message when trying to uninstall Tuxera NTFS for Mac? There are no known problems with uninstalling.. so could you please install Tuxera NTFS for Mac again and attempt to uninstall it?
Please make a note of what happens when you attempt the uninstall.
Regards,
- Erik

I hope someone can help me as well.. I have the same problem and I really don't know how to find the solution.
Two days ago I uninstalled Tuxera and MacFuse, because I decided that I don't need to use my external hard disk. First I uninstalled Tuxera and after that, without any problem, used the uninstallation of Macfuse.
Now, every time I start my Macbook, I get the following error:
Tuxera NTFS could not mount /dev/disk2s1 at /Volumes/Extern HDD because the following problem occurred:
dyld: Library not loaded: /usr/local/lib/libfuse.
2.dylib
Referenced from: /System/Library/Filesystems/fusefs_txantsfs.fs/Support/tuxera_ntfs
Reason: image not found
What to do and how to solve this error? Thanks in advance!

You didn't get any error messages while uninstalling Tuxera NTFS for Mac? Because some files are apparently still there after the uninstall, and the uninstaller should throw an error message if there is any problem.
Now, every time I start my Macbook, I get the following error:
Tuxera NTFS could not mount /dev/disk2s1 at /Volumes/Extern HDD because the following problem occurred:

The command line mentioned in the above post should clean out all remaining files and solve your problem.
I'll just repeat it here for maximum clarity. Open up the Terminal (Applications->Utilities->Terminal) and type (as one line):
sudo rm -rf /System/Library/Filesystems/fusefs_txantfs.fs '/Library/PreferencePanes/Tuxera NTFS.prefPane' /sbin/mount_fusefs_txantfs /sbin/newfs_fusefs_txantfs /Library/Receipts/TuxeraNTFS.pkg /var/db/receipts/com.tuxera.pkg.Tuxera_NTFS.*
